CHOOSING WHEELS FOR A RAPTOR 700
The Raptor 700 has one of the longest unbroken production runs of any sport quad, and the fitment above covers the whole span. It is worth noting the offset is published as a range rather than a single figure — the platform has been built across a lot of model years, and staying inside that range is what keeps steering geometry and bearing load where Yamaha intended.
Raptors are also the machines most likely to see a mix of duty: trail one weekend, dunes the next, a local race after that. That mix is exactly where wheel choice starts to matter, because a bead that rolls off at low pressure in sand is the same bead that rolls off in a rutted corner. RWI kit fronts are drilled 4/144 & 4/156 and rears 4/110 & 4/115, so the Raptor 700 is covered at both ends by any of the five kits without adapters.
If you run low pressure for traction, the beadlock kits earn their keep: GP2B and MX2B lock the outer bead on all four wheels, and the GNCC kit adds a dual-beadlock rear that clamps the inner bead as well. If you would rather keep the front end simple and light, GP1 and MX1 use dual reinforced rolled lips up front instead of a ring.
RAPTOR 700 FITMENT QUESTIONS
RWI lists the Raptor 700 at a 4/115 rear bolt pattern with 10mm x 1.25 lug studs, covering 2006 through 2024. Because RWI race kit rears are drilled 4/110 and 4/115 and fronts 4/144 and 4/156, one kit covers the Raptor 700 front and rear with no adapters.
All five RWI ATV race kits — GNCC, GP1, GP2B, MX1 and MX2B — list the Raptor 700 on their compatibility block. Each is a complete front and rear set in heat-treated 6061 T6 aluminum with a reduced air volume design that keeps tire pressure stable as heat builds.
RWI publishes the Raptor 700 offset as a range rather than a single number — see the spec cards on this page for the exact figures. The range reflects the length of the production run. RWI race kits are configured within it, so a kit requires no offset calculation of your own.
Both are sold because both are right for different riding. A rolled lip wheel relies on air pressure to hold the tire bead, which is fine at normal pressures on trail and utility duty. A beadlock clamps the bead mechanically with a billet aluminum ring, which is what lets you run the low pressures racers use for traction without unseating a tire. GP1 and MX1 give you rolled lip fronts with a beadlock rear; GP2B, MX2B and the GNCC kit put beadlocks on all four corners.
