CHOOSING WHEELS FOR A BANSHEE
The Banshee is the machine that catches people out, because it does not use one bolt pattern — it uses two. The front hubs and the rear hubs are drilled differently, so a set of wheels that bolts to the back of the quad will not bolt to the front. The patterns for both ends are in the spec cards above.
That split is exactly why RWI kits are drilled the way they are. Kit fronts come in 4/144 & 4/156 and kit rears in 4/110 & 4/115, which covers the Banshee at both ends out of one box with no adapters and no hunting for a matching front set.
The Banshee is printed on the Yamaha line of all five race kit compatibility blocks. For a two-stroke run in sand and on hardpack, the beadlock kits are the ones worth looking at first: GP2B and MX2B clamp the outer bead on all four wheels, and the GNCC kit steps the rear up to a dual beadlock that holds the inner bead as well. GP1 and MX1 keep dual reinforced rolled lips up front for a lighter, simpler front end.
A note on what is not on this page: RWI does not publish an offset or wheel width figure for the Banshee the way it does for the machines in the fitment guide, so nothing is listed here. Send us your setup and we will confirm it rather than guess.
BANSHEE FITMENT QUESTIONS
The Banshee uses two different patterns: 4/156 at the front hubs and 4/115 at the rear, with 10mm x 1.25 lug nuts at both ends. This is why front and rear wheels are not interchangeable on a Banshee. RWI race kits are drilled 4/144 and 4/156 up front and 4/110 and 4/115 in the rear, so a single kit covers both ends.
All five RWI ATV race kits — GNCC, GP1, GP2B, MX1 and MX2B — list the Banshee on their compatibility block. Each ships as a complete front and rear package in heat-treated 6061 T6 aluminum with billet aluminum beadlock rings where applicable, replaceable steel nut plates and an aluminum-braced valve stem.
No. The rear hubs are 4/115 and the fronts are 4/156, so rear wheels will not line up on the front hubs. Buying a front-and-rear kit avoids the problem entirely, because the kit is drilled for both patterns from the start.
