RWI race kits are drilled with universal patterns — fronts 4/144 & 4/156, rears 4/110 & 4/115 — so one kit covers the Honda TRX450R at both ends without adapters. Check another machine in the full fitment guide, or read how the numbers are measured in the ATV bolt pattern guide.
RWI RACE KITS THAT FIT THE TRX450R
Listed on the compatibility block of each kit as TRX250EX · TRX250R · TRX300EX · TRX400EX · TRX450R. Every kit is a complete front and rear package.
CHOOSING WHEELS FOR A TRX450R
Honda stopped building the TRX450R in 2014 and the machines are still everywhere, which makes wheels one of the more common things owners go looking for. The spec cards above carry the fitment RWI publishes for the full production run, so you are not cross-referencing a chart written for a different year.
The TRX450R sits on the Honda side of every race kit compatibility list, alongside the TRX250R, TRX300EX and TRX400EX. Kit fronts are drilled 4/144 & 4/156 and rears 4/110 & 4/115, which is how one kit covers a Honda and a Yamaha in the same box — the drilling is universal rather than make-specific, so nothing needs adapting.
For a 450 that gets raced, the split between the kits is straightforward. The GNCC kit is the most aggressive: single beadlock front, dual beadlock rear clamping both beads, built for hard enduro terrain. MX2B is the motocross-facing equivalent with a single beadlock on all four corners. GP2B matches that configuration for general sport riding, while GP1 and MX1 keep dual reinforced rolled lips up front for a lighter, simpler front end.
Every wheel in every kit is heat-treated 6061 T6 aluminum under an OEM-quality gloss black powder coat.
TRX450R FITMENT QUESTIONS
RWI lists the TRX450R at a 4/110 rear bolt pattern with 10mm x 1.25 lug studs, covering 2004 through 2014. Like every Honda sport quad, the front hubs use a wider pattern than the rear, so front and rear wheels are not interchangeable. RWI race kits are drilled 4/144 and 4/156 up front and 4/110 and 4/115 in the rear, so a kit fits the TRX450R at both ends without adapters.
All five RWI ATV race kits fit: GNCC, GP1, GP2B, MX1 and MX2B. The TRX450R appears on the Honda line of every kit compatibility block, together with the TRX250EX, TRX250R, TRX300EX and TRX400EX.
RWI publishes a narrower front width and a wider rear width for the TRX450R; the exact figures are in the spec cards on this page. Running a narrower front and wider rear is standard practice on sport quads, and every RWI race kit ships with that combination already matched, so you do not have to pair wheels yourself.
At the rear, yes — RWI publishes the same 4/110 rear bolt pattern for both machines, so a rear wheel drilled for one is drilled for the other. Offset and width still need to match your setup, so check the spec cards for each before moving a set across. An RWI race kit covers either machine outright, because kit rears are drilled 4/110 and 4/115.
